Elena Guarienti di Brenzone Virando

Was born in 1959 in Turin, a historical Italian city brimming with beautiful architecture, and where she grew surrounded by art and beauty. There she graduated with a major in Physics, chosen thanks to her passion for natural sciences.
In 1985 she left Turin for Beijing, following her husband’s job assignment. Their first daughter Chiara was born in the Chinese capital, and the family was completed three years later with the arrival of their second daughter, Benedetta. Four years spent in China full of challenges and exposure to a fascinating human experience have deeply marked and enriched Elena.

After six years back in Italy, she then moved to Hungary, Turkey and then the UK, before finally settling back in the Turin countryside. Her daughters live in England and she is grandmother to two little boys.
Elena started painting in 2005 while living in Istanbul, and discovered and explored watercolors during her staying in London.
Her works depict landscapes from all over the world and are full of emotions and meaningful tonalities.
More recently she engaged in painting portraits and does so using beautiful color schemes with great impact.
